When you come to the Northwest Carriage Museum, you’ll see more than just carriages! Our goal is to keep history alive, and you’ll come out of our museum with an appreciation of horse-drawn transportation, our forefathers, and our history.
The largest tourist attraction in Pacific County, we have over fifty vehicles and hundreds of artifacts on display! The Northwest Carriage Museum is described as a world-class museum and has one of the finest collections of 19th-century horse-drawn vehicles in America.
A Stagecoach from the Old West, a Shelburne Landau used in the film Gone with the Wind, a sleigh that looks like it’s from the North Pole, an elegantly carved Hearse from Vienna Austria, and more await you in the museum!
The museum is family-friendly, with an interactive display area that is great for kids of all ages! Enjoy learning in our one-room schoolhouse, see how a wheel is made in our blacksmith’s shop, dress up as a pioneer and climb into our wagon, or learn how to drive a carriage yourself with our mechanical horse!
Our museum gift shop features many products from local businesses, and carries items including unique jewelry, books, toys, and more!
Bring your lunch and enjoy a picnic at the beautiful park next door along the banks of the pristine Willapa River. Restaurants, breweries, wineries, motels, campgrounds, and shops are just minutes away. Meet some of our friends.
